A Tonbridge, Kent engagement shoot
05 April 2015
I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely couple’s engagement in a beautiful place near a National Trust area in Kent. The bride came up with lots of ideas for props, most of them very personal, telling the story of their relationship which we had a lot of fun incorporating into the shots. We were also lucky with the weather – clear skies and only a little wind!
Props are a great way to personalise engagement shoots – as you can see, even a simple balloon, available at high street greeting card shops or probably even supermarkets, can add so much interest to a photo. It also ensures natural expressions and smiles from the couple, so you don’t end up with only posed shots (this is a preference of course – I definitely prefer to take lots of ‘in the moment’ shots, too).
Due to their occupations this couple requested anonymity to ensure as much privacy as possible; even if you know them please don’t mention their names or personal details in any comments. Thank you.
Lovely photography for a lovely couple.
a really cheery shoot! really love the first few close ups, simple details captured yet seem to tell a lil story on their own! <3
