Relaxed Cotswolds Wedding Photographer

Capturing natural, story-led moments against the backdrop of honey-stone barns and rolling hills.

Unobtrusive photography for people who love the Cotswolds (but hate being photographed)

The Cotswolds is defined by its unique light and timeless landscapes, from the quaint lanes of Cirencester to the grand stone manors of Chipping Campden & Broadway. My approach is designed to let you enjoy that beauty without feeling like you’re on a film set.

I work as a “discreet observer,” or as one of my couples put it, a “ninja”. I’m there to capture the ‘real’ version of your day: the unposed laughter, the quiet glances, and the wild dancing. Whether you are planning an intimate celebration in a boutique hotel or a festival-style party in a converted stone barn, I provide a rare combination of life meets art.

  • Barb hit the perfect balance between calm and personable, and conscientious and professional. She has a talent to pick up on the moments that are most important, even where we wouldn’t have realised it ourselves! She gives gentle guidance to get the right shots without making it feel forced or posed. We were so relaxed in her presence and it really shows in the photos! If you’re looking for a professional photographer with a talent for capturing authentic, fun, and heart-warming photos, Barb’s the one for you!

Frequently Asked Questions

A second photographer can be useful for several reasons, but isn’t essential. It really depends on how big your wedding is, and how complicated the logistics are. When a wedding is large enough to have loads going on, and you want to ensure coverage in two locations, or from different angles of important moments, I can certainly book a second photographer, whose images will still be edited by me to ensure consistency across your album. We can have a chat and see if you might want this option early on!

Absolutely! I’m an ally and the more people I can witness celebrating their love, in whatever shape or form, the more I love my job, so I’m here for it! The way I shoot doesn’t depend on gender in any way – documentary is whatever happens on the day, and for your couple portraits I work with your vibe and how you interact with each other regardless of gender. I also try to avoid gendered or otherwise heteronormative language on my website and in my labelling of workflow and such; however do please call me out if I miss something, I’m always learning as much as my heart is in the right place.

ABSOLUTELY. I’m neurodivergent myself, I get it. Please don’t hesitate to ask for any accommodations such as a certain form of communication, or other adjustments I can make to help you feel more comfortable. You don’t need to disclose your diagnosis or anything, unless you want to; all I ask is that you still provide me with the details I ask for in the lead up to your big day in whatever format works for you, so that I can make sure I get the best possible photos for you 🙂

I have full public liability and professional indemnity insurance through PolicyBee/Hiscox (policy no. 14791356). I carry backup equipment with me so that if something breaks or malfunctions, I can continue working with minimal interruption to coverage. I shoot on dual memory cards, too, so if one becomes corrupted I have a full backup on the other card by default so your images aren’t lost.
