Wedding photography in Banbury, Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds

Most weddings I do are in the Cotswolds, London, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and surroundings, however I love travelling and have covered weddings in many parts of the country so don’t hesitate to enquire, wherever you’re from. I speak decent French, Hungarian and Japanese too, if you need someone for a multicultural celebration!

You’ve come to the right place if you’re after a natural, relaxed series of storytelling photos from your day! My film-like, documentary approach is peppered with interesting or unusual compositions and moments, as they happen. No cheesy posing or annoyingly shouting at you to do this or that. Working with your vibe as a couple, combined with the venue and the weather on the day, is what will make your photos special and unique to you.

Typically, for a full wedding, I deliver between 600 – 1000+ images! It depends fully on what was happening on the day and how many guests there were, usually the more guests the more photos as I try to include everyone.

My contract says a 6 week turnaround as sometimes my schedule can get very busy, but it’s almost never actually that long! I typically deliver within about 2-3 weeks.

I always love to hear your ideas about the style and poses you want. However, every wedding and location is different, as is the weather in the UK as we know!! So, it may not be possible to recreate a breezy sunset photo with mountains in the background if you’re getting married in November on a rainy day in a city centre, for example (I have seen such requests, I’m not making this up!). But, within reason I can of course work with you to create photos inspired by what you show me, while in keeping with my own style that you’re hiring me for!

The suppliers I use for my beautiful coffee table albums are professional labs that work only with photographers; the print and paper quality is archival quality and the colours will be exactly as intended when I took the pictures, which is often not true for high street or cheaper online retailers. The flow of your day will be matched to a custom layout I create for you, so that the story unfolds in the best possible rhythm across the album.

You are welcome to print your own albums too for your own private use after you receive your digitals. However, I am committed to ensuring that your photos get the beautiful treatment they deserve in a professional album that will stand the test of time and can be kept for decades without fading or the colour looking wrong. And I take all the hassle out of the design and ordering process for you so you can focus on enjoying the post-wedding high!
You can still decline the album of course, but it won’t have an effect on the price.

I have full public liability and professional indemnity insurance through PolicyBee/Hiscox (policy no. 14791356). I carry backup equipment with me so that if something breaks or malfunctions, I can continue working with minimal interruption to coverage. I shoot on dual memory cards, too, so if one becomes corrupted I have a full backup on the other card by default so your images aren’t lost.

A second photographer is often not necessary if the photographer is experienced and confident enough! It really depends on how big your wedding is though, and how complicated the logistics are. Some do require an assistant to help carry/set up/hold gear, but I have in fact shot most of my weddings alone! When a wedding is large enough to have loads going on, and you want to ensure coverage in two locations at once, or different angles of important moments, I can certainly bring a skilled second photographer.

Yes, it includes travel time and costs to most of the UK. If it’s not realistic for me to safely travel back home the same evening (depending on logistics and location), overnight accommodation in a modest hotel or B&B will be added separately, but I’ll mention this during our initial consultation if applicable.
