C+T’s wedding preparations and reception took place on their private Essex farmland near Ongar, in a beautifully decorated marquee with elegant touches of muted green foliage and neutral accessories. However, as they are practising Christians, their wedding ceremony took place at St Germain Church in Bobbingworth. Parts of this church date back to the 13th century, so it’s steeped in history and provided a lovely backdrop to their vows.
Back at the farm, there was lots of joy and happy tears too, with heartfelt speeches that were just the right length. As this was the hottest and one of the longest days of the year, the first dance took place with plenty of light still, but we squeezed in some quick sunset couple photos just as I was about to head home.
The great thing about marquee weddings like this is that guests can mingle really freely, and you don’t have to worry about not having enough space. Plus, on a hot summer’s day, it’s the best way to make the most of the long, warm evenings so you can party until the early hours!
